The Minister for Health and Ageing, Nicola Roxon, and the NSW Minister for Health Carmel Tebbutt, today welcomed the successful commissioning of new cancer treatment equipment in Coffs Harbour. The new equipment, a linear accelerator, has been installed in the Coffs Harbour unit of the North Coast Cancer Institute, a public facility operated by the North Coast Area Health Service (NCAS) of NSW Health. The new linear accelerator joins a similar unit which commenced operations in Coffs Harbour in 2007.
